If there's one thing that tends to be universally important to the Originals, it's their family. And the same is true for Rebekah. Despite the differences she may or may not have with them at any given time she loves her family more than anything else. For the past few months she's been in hiding, taking care of her niece who no one knows is still alive. But now her resurrected Mother has found her and they're no longer safe. She was waiting at a safe house with her brother Elijah who is currently mentally unstable and dangerous when the representative came to her with their offer:

If she spends time in Eudio her niece and family will be save. Esther won't be able to hurt them. Her niece can have a family like she's always supposed to.

Rebekah doesn't think twice before saying yes. If it can keep her family safe, keep her niece safe from harm and make it so Niklaus and Hayley can raise their own child then she'll make this sacrifice. Nik has spent their whole existence trying to protect her, often to horrendous results. This time she would be the one doing the protecting.

As far as being a fit, Rebekah has been around for a thousand years. She's been shown to be very prone to falling in love, and very fond of sex in general whether it involves love or not. She's seen as an very open-minded lover -- she has a threesome in canon with another woman and it seems easily like something she's probably done before. Gender or propriety isn't something she's overly concerned with. She is a tactile, affectionate person who is generally seeking some kind of comfort or connection from the people around her. Which would make her a good fit for a place like this.

Of course, she has a tendency to get overly attached to people too quickly which could end up being a problem in the future but that's her problem to deal with.

ANYTHING ELSE?

All of the vampires of the TVD/TO universe have superior speed, strength, senses and abilities, healing blood and retractable fangs but as an Original vampire Rebekah's are even stronger. On top of that there's a problematic ability called compulsion which can erase memories and take away free will. As an original she can perform this on both vampires and humans a like. Originals can only be killed by one thing, the white oak stake -- although being staked in the heart by a regular stake will put them down for a couple of hours. They can also be put down for longer periods of time with special silver daggers dipped in white oak. They can be hurt by sunlight but Rebekah has a special ring of lapis luzili that protects her from that. Another weakness is the herb vervain, although as an Original the damage from it does not last long.
